Install a sprinkler controller only in the environment named by its manufacturer. Indoor means a dry, protected location. A porch roof, plastic bag or deep eave does not convert an indoor controller into outdoor equipment. Good Indoor Locations

A suitable indoor position is dry, ventilated, reachable without a ladder, close enough to the field wires, and within dependable Wi-Fi range if the controller is connected.
